Junior Consultant / Consultant in European Public Affairs

Fulltime, permanent contract with a competitive salary in line with experience
Bureau Brussels is looking for a Junior Consultant or Consultant with a strong interest and background in EU sustainability and digital policies. The role will require frequent interaction with the EU institutions, national administration, and other relevant stakeholders. Some travel might be required.
Consultant will work with clients in the field of digital and sustainability, ideally able to start as of April 2022.
What are we looking for?
- 1-2 years relevant experience working in one or more in the following: EU or international institutions, a public affairs consultancy, in-house public affairs role in a company, a trade association or an NGO;
- A thorough understanding of EU policies and how the EU institutions work;
- A good understanding of and an interest in the EU policy landscape particularly the European Green Deal, key energy and sustainability policies, and digital policies;
- Experience in policy monitoring, building networks, gathering intelligence and project management/communications would be an asset;
- The capacity to analyze and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing;
- Team player who is able to collaborate effectively within an international team;
- Very strong attention to detail and time management skills;
- Proven organisational capacity, client and event management;
- Fluent English. Knowledge of other European languages would be an additional asset.
