Junior Consultant European Public Affairs

We can offer you a challenging and enriching working environment, as a member of a small international team. You will support colleagues by, inter alia, monitor and analyse policy developments and industry trends, actively contribute to the clients’ public affairs strategy, prepare and chair meetings and attend events.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor legislative developments in the assigned policy areas;
- Research and contribute to drafting client positions on policy developments;
- Actively contribute to the development of public affairs and communication strategies;
- Prepare and organise meetings with clients, policy makers, and other stakeholders;
What are we looking for?
- Around 1 year of experience in public affairs, a trade association or a European Institution;
- Experience or a strong interest in the areas of financial services, health, environment and circular economy;
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members;
- Excellent English with additional language(s) preferable;
- You have a collaborative approach and are a team player;
- A proactive, driven and motivated person; creativity is a plus;
- You have a permit to work in Belgium

With an increasing demand from our clients for support on digital, energy and environmental policy issues, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our growing team. Our new colleague will support day-to-day management of existing client accounts mainly in the field of digital infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist on the day-to-day management of projects and client assignments in the policy fields of Digital, Energy, Sustainability and/or Financial Services;
- Manage your own work streams with limited senior supervision;
- Research and draft client positions on policy developments;
- Organising and preparing client meetings as well as meetings with external stakeholders;
- Actively contribute to the development of our public affairs and communication strategies;
- Support and oversee the work of junior colleagues, and share and exchange ideas with all team members;
- Assist to organise high-level conferences and events either to represent our clients or report to them.

- Around 3-5 years of experience in public affairs within a Public Affairs consultancy or a Trade Association is essential, experience in the European institutions is an asset;
- Experience in digital, environmental, financial and/or energy policies is essential;
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members;
- Excellent English with additional language(s) preferable;
- You have a collaborative approach and are a team player;
- A proactive, driven and motivated person; creativity is a plus;
- You have a permit to work in Belgium.
